Ride 'em Cowboy

Friday night my fam. obliged me and took me to the Tazwell County Rodeo. (I thought it was a shame we have lived here for 21 years and had never been) It was not a huge one, as you can imagine, but it was a rodeo just the same!!

Dad and I went paroosing to look at the beautiful horses! This horse was quite decked out, ready for the action!

This was as close as we got to these horses. (Since they were down a slight incline) We thought the leopard skinned horse was one of the pretiest ones there!

I tried to take pictures of the other events but due to the darkness and since I was using my phone the pictures were a little blurry. There were some more pictures of horses but since the owners were near by I could not just ask them to move so I could get a good shot of all the beautiful magnificent horses! :)

You can't be in farm country and not take a picture of a John Deere!! It was a tractor in action and I didn't have a action camera. :-)

Hares

These two hares (rabbbit) were quite close to the front porch. It was quite humerous to see them get that close to the front door like they were going to hop inside. Shortly after this picture was taken they must have gotten startled from the noise. God's world is amazingly beautiful and a mere glimpse of what is to come!!

Father's Day (Part II)

Happy Father's Day again Daddy!!! Love Ya!!! Here is the opening present part of Father's Day!! (We did not want it to be over all at one time.)

Dad asked where we got the Mesquito wrapping paper from; then we informed him that it was actually dragon fly paper. :)

Father's Day

The sun was so bright we had to find some shade to take these Father's Day pictures. We located the shady tree you see in the background. (That by the way had a few ants scurrying on it) Happy Father's Day Dad!!!

Dad and Mama posing for the camera :) I commented that standing on a hill made me look short. The fam. nicely informed me that I was short without standing on the hill. Oh well...it was a nice thought.

Flower Petals

I wondered as to whether I should write anything for this post but when I saw the pictures they looked a bit lonely but since flowers really need no explanation....:)

4our Legged Creature

I can't make up my mind about the template/format for my blog, since it is basically John Deere oriented I thought green would be more sutitable. (The other was a nice change BUT you couldn't change the color of the font, thus not being able to show what type of mood you are in.) Nothing much has happend to take pictures of recently.
Today, I did hit my first rodent,(not counting the squirrel I bumped when I was learning how to operate a car) a racoon, on the road below our house. It ran, in broad daylight, in front of the car and it could not be avoided(without further mishap). I would have been a little more grieved if it had been a domesticated pet but since it was a rodent, and probably rabid, the grief was not long lived. And since it was not a head-on meeting it did not make a mess on the road and most importantly on the car. :) Is it true that you can keep your road-kill within three hours? Doesn't racoon sound tasty?

Deere Green

John Deere! Can you believe it? A girl at work went to a yard sale on this past weekend and saw this JD tin and bought it for me!!





Also this past weekend I was went to get my hair trimmed. The lady had never cut it and since my hair was quite long I let her cut it. Well...when she finished it was quite a bit shorter and not even even! So my sweet Mama called my usual hair dresser and he nicely worked me in! Here is the finished product.

Powerful Peaches

Since the weather has been so toasty recently Dad thought Peaches would be a bit cooler if her shaggy hair was trimmed. So that is what happend, she went to the salon for dogs (After all she is a girl!)!! When Daddy brought her back Mama and I burst our laughing at her new doo. Is she really the same dog?
