I Spy

Aren't you glad I have this blog to post all of my new things? Today, Mama, Carrie, RA and I went on a small (it was actually small) shopping trip. This new quilt for my bed is what we spied. :) (Is shopping a game of I Spy?) ANYWAYS...it really does add some spunk to my room and accents the window treatments very well!

Do you dream in green?

GUESS WHAT~! Here is something else John Deere! (Do you dream in green?) I found this John Deere hankie at a gas station and it called my name. (Despite the fact I didn't know what I was going to do with it) So when I told mama I would like another JD purse she had the idea to use the JD handkerchief. The finished product is a very cute and stylish JD purse!! (It even has two handy dandy pockets for my keys and cell phone) :) Thanks Mama!! :)

Garden Spider #2

Today, thanks for Dad's help with the camera!, we not only got a better shot of the spider (who as you can see from the picture is having another meal!) but also found out it is called a Yellow Garden Spider (thanks to Wikpedia!). For those of you who are tired or just plain grossed out with these pictures of the spider this will be my last post of it! (Unless it traps something REALLY amazing in it's web!) :

Spider and Prey

Today as I was walking outside I heard this flapping of wings noise and this is what I found. This spider has built a web in this crepe myrtle and had caught its supper. (Some type of beetle looking bug with big wings) The spider eventually entangled its prey and its wings stopped flapping. (If you trace the black bug up you can see the yellow and brown on the spider) :)
Some of you requested updated pictures of our 'pup'.Her hair is slowly but surely growing back. She is sporting a little bit of fuz. Perhaps we will have to buy her a sweater for winter from Old Navy. :)

More of God's Creatures

It seems that we have been blessed with an abundance of deer! (And why does our neighbor feed them? Not for the food) Mama took these pics the other day of these fawns grazing. They are very entertaining to watch play and leap about!

Beach Time!

This past week the fam (except Robbie who had to work) went to Oak Island for the week. We had a very enjoyable week!! It was a very hot week, one day being 121 degrees! Thankfully there were not any jellyfish stings this year but I did get bitten by a crab. (Why do sea creatures bite me?) Below are some of the highlights...more pics to come later. :) Enjoy!

Celebration

August 3rd was Chrisa's Happy Birthday! The Soundara family made it here in time for the Happy Birthday meal. (We had B-Day cake at the beach...actually it was funnel cakes) So here are some of the birthday pics Dad took. Gabriel and Mya were more than happy to help open her presents! :)

Mama informed Chrisa you know you are getting old when you get a crock pot for your birthday...:)
