Aside from Andy Griffith...Tuesday Barney officially killed his first insectivore. Even though it was just a tiny mole it is a good start, don't ya think?:) Anyways, here are a couple pictures of his first catch...

A Tribute to Barney

Barney has been making himself known at our house for quite a while. He bounds about the yard, lies down on his back & rolls about like a bug is biting his fur. Since his arrival at our house it seems he likes to do his business in mama's flower bed, despite the MANY attempts of keeping him out-from putting moth balls to sprinkling red pepper about. This is how I found the flower bed after coming home from school last week. Mama had artistically arranged all sorts of things to keep Barney out. Even though he still likes to perch himself on the flower pots & chase moving insects therein, his business is done elsewhere. Maybe this could be the modern look of the flower bed. It's a good thing Barney is so cute & entertaining or he would've been sent packing a long time ago!

Fall is ofically here! Some of the trees are changing here on the hill...

Fall's in the Air!

Although this post doesn't really have to do with leaves and fall sort of things, it does need to be noted that fall is surely in the air. (Today's temperatures were clarification of this! ) Today is also the FIRST day of October, so HAPPY first day of October to ya'll! Deer have been grazing about the yard looking for foliage and acorns to much on. They are such pretty animals!!
