Friday night, my dear sweet family, had a little celebration for my upcoming birthday! When I walked in the door I was greeted by them singing Happy Birthday. There were even 23 candles floating in a bowl of water! RuthAnne was enthralled with them and was quite happy when it was time to help me blow them out. (Dad is the photographer :) Will enjoyed crawling around and finding the discarded wrapping paper...
(By the way, I got a Dust Buster and have been finding great use for it!)
RA was more than happy to help me with my presents...
Last week was the first time in a long while I went on a walk-a walk in WARM weather! It was so splendid outside I didn't even need a jacket. :) It was a beautiful day and greatly enjoyed getting outside. The only thing I didn't take into account was the soft earth and ended up scrubbing my shoes when I got back. It's not a real walk until you get muddy!
I am dedicating this post to Barney the cat. This was a picture taken in August. When we got him he was basically nothing but skin and bones. This is him today...lounging about and basking in the sun. But in his defense he does have a hurt paw that he is still limping on. Perhaps when the weather gets warmer he will become more active?
Today we met Mama's siblings in Boone for a late Christmas. Golden Corral was Papa's favorite place to eat. It was a beautiful day, despite the cold weather. My battery died but I got a few pics of the kids, the most important right? :)
The other day when mama and I were at 'your neighborhood savings place', translated to your network spending place, they had a shelf full of these water bottles. As you may know, you are suppose to drink this amount each day. So I purchased one to see if I actually drink THIS much water. In my defense I didn't start until mid-day but did not quite finish the jug. It did bring laughter at supper, so I put the H20 on the go' in a normal glass. You hear all of benefits of drinking good ole H20 (like here). So how can you resist the refreshingly wonderful crispness of water? Drink healthily!
This morning after breakfast a few doe visited the woods behind our house. They were mostly camouflage in the woods, aside from their white tails flickering.
As the deer were grazing in the woods, a squirrel scampered up a tree. It seemed to be having quite a bit of fun with its tail.
A cropped picture so you can actually see the squirrel, in the nook on the left.
I thought this was a good picture of dad, even though it does not really go along with this post.
