Remnants of the Snow

Today was so warm after church I took my camera and ventured outside on a walk. The sun did not stay out long and it began to rain but it was so nice to be outside and actually be warm! I love the snow but once it melts it leaves the world looking a bit dirty.

The snow reminds me of Jesus cleansing me from my sins. We get dirty and He cleanses us....see the pattern...? These pictures remind me of my tainted condition apart from Jesus but once the light of Jesus awakens you, you no longer stay muddy and tainted because the Son shines his light in your life! Through Jesus we have life-eternal life!

Snow Day Fun

Something about winter and snow brings out puzzle working in Mama and I. Although this one was a bit challenging at first it was fun! They did not fib on the piece size, they were very little!!
The finished product...worth the effort!
Mama and I went shopping today. While were in Tuesday Morning I remarked to her that my trash can was cracked and that I would like to go to T.S. in search of J.D. Then we happened to look on a shelf and there sat this wonderful J.D. 'drink bucket'!
The handle is an ear of corn. Doesn't it look edible? :)

Christmas in Pictures

Here are just a few pictures from Christmas. We stayed home Christmas morning then went to the Cornett's for the afternoon/evening. Saturday we met Mama's family in Boone. It was a joyous time of celebrating Christ's birth!

Christmas Eve!

I hope all of you have had a wonderful Christmas Eve! We did not do much at the Howell household aside from making preparations for tomorrow and such. I couldn't let the day pass without taking a few pictures...

Merry Christmas!!!

Snow Land

I received one of my Christmas presents early thanks to all of the snow. It was a pair of boots from T.S.C! Perfect for going out in the snow and not getting your britches soaking wet! (Very glad I got to make use of them! Thanks D and M!!)

Tree Time!

Mama informed me this morning that if we did not get the tree up today it most likely would not be going up. I was relayed this info to Chrisa on the phone and she volunteered her and Sam's services to help me put up the tree. (Since for the most part it isn't very fun to put up a tree by yourself) The tree is lively and full of ornaments and whatnot's! (For the record D and M did put up two ornaments each :)
I like to take these cheesy pictures of hanging up ornaments...needless to say we were laughing so hard I couldn't hold the camera still....
the FINISHED product!~!

this scene also made us erupt into laughter...Sam nicely wove a strand of lights into Mama's Christmas cactus. With the lights out it made quite the scene-blooming and all! Thanks for coming over to help S and C!

First 'Big' Snow!

Sleep Over

Last night we planned to keep RuthAnne and Will so Rob and Carrie could have a date night. They were fine until we mentioned the word 'bed', so Grandaddy and Grandmama met R and C half way to return the very tired kiddos (who actually fell asleep on the way:)

Thanksgiving!

We took some family photos over Thanksgiving-thanks to Uncle Randy-but I have been told I CAN'T put any on my blog because they are going on the Christmas cards. So, I will post a picture that was taken at Thanksgiving with Dad's family.

Hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends!

The Tin Man

This is a dorky post but here it goes. On the way to work I had seen these cute little tin men along the side of the road for sale. Last week I stopped to check them out. Well, ya see what happened, I purchased one. The lady informed me her hubby makes them and proceeded to show me how each one was different. The tin man was always my favorite in the Wizard of Oz because of the clinking sound he made when he walked.
Dad did the honors and hung him up for me! He is complete with a heart!

A Little Excitement

Sam & Chrisa have recently had a visitor at their apartment. However, last night was the first time they had seen it-the other times it raided their trash. They called and informed us the bear was sitting on their porch having it's night time snack. Dad headed that way with my camera & got a few pictures!
